MIDDLE EARTH is a label we started to acknowledge that, well, this dance music is here to stay, and actually we like some of it a lot! Named after the 60's underground club we went to at Covent Garden and the Roundhouse across the road (showing our age!), because we saw lots of psychedelic similarities. The ambient dubbery of the Knights got a single of the week on Radio One's evening session, and they write really wonderful, loopy tunes. They wouldn't pander to the commercial market so we're sure their music will last. They play a lot in the free festival circuit. Compilations have been the rest of the output on this label, fastidiously compiled by DJ Slinky Merlinki mostly, and all packed with biographies of artists.
