"If goth is a musical movement haunted by its past, then NFD are very much about laying these ghosts to rest. Finely detailed yet explosively rough, their debut album 'NO LOVE LOST' simply devastates and lays waste to every other gothic wannabe band of the last decade with perhaps the finest example of musicianship the scene has produced since the late 80s. Dark groovesome guitars alternate between perfectly pitched atmospherics, savage riffing and big textured choruses, all pierced by Bob White's savage growling vocals that recall the Nephilim in their heyday but with a nuancing that is pure 21st Century… By making up the core intensity of their goth roots with visceral metal refrains and more than a sprinkling of artistic elegance, former Nephs bassist Tony Pettitt, singer Bob White and the rest of NFD might just have found a sound that could be epoch defining again. 9/10." Alex Whitehead, ROCK SOUND.

"Attention all Rasmus fans: caking yourself in eyeliner and shoving half a dead crow on your head does not a Goth make. Including members of black-hearted uber-lords Fields Of The Nephilim, NFD are about as shadow hued as they come. Frontman Peter 'Bob' White sounds like he's gargling crushed glass, growling over darkly atmospheric riffs and leadenly downbeat basslines in a manner that suggests he's considering ripping your throat out just to see what would happen. The whole effect is chillingly effective. KKK" Emma Johnston, KERRANG!, 8/1/05.

NFD, the new band formed by Fields Of The Nephilim founder / bassist Tony Pettitt, former Sensorium vocalist / guitarist Peter 'Bob' White, and former Sensorium, The Nefilim and Fields Of The Nephilim live band drummer Simon Rippin, augmented by guitarists Chris Milden and Stephen Carey, have recently headlined The MEAN FIDDLER'S ROCK CLUB and been the special guest slot on MORTIIS' entire APRIL UK TOUR. New dates are:-

  • 13th/14th August - Germany Mera Luna Festival
  • 24th/25th Sept - Germany Festival tbc

Jungle Records are re-releasing NFD's highly acclaimed debut 'NO LOVE LOST' album (originally released October 2004) as a special 2CD edition, including bonus disc, 'Live & Unleashed', featuring previously unreleased live & studio tracks and a remix, on May 9th. A free download preview of their brand new studio track 'SO LET IT BEGIN' is currently available from the band's website.

NFD were tipped as a band to watch in 2005 by METAL HAMMER in their February issue - "Their latest release takes the form of 10 tracks of evil madness and is an absolute must-have" - have created a unique, epic rock sound. "We want to take Goth forward" explains Bob White. "There's no point doing what's been done before. We're not afraid to use anything if it works for the song. After all that was the original point of Goth," explains Tony Pettitt. "All the bands that I used to really love, bands like Bauhaus, they weren't afraid to experiment with all different styles and beats, you know? At the time it was like the alternative to the alternative. There weren't any rules about what was going on, and I think that was like the whole point of the scene, to stick its fingers up at anything else."
