Iggy Pop ‘Acoustics KO’

Iggy Pop Acoustics KO
This new Iggy Pop DVD and CD features acoustic & electric solo performances, available for the first time.

Iggy Pop practically invented punk rock with The Stooges and is celebrated for his wild and dangerous attitude, whether with The Stooges, David Bowie, or other line-ups. But he’s rarely seen solo.

This new Skydog release captures Iggy without any band in various environments, both acoustic and electric, but: - just as rock’n’roll as ever! Stripped down versions of I Wanna Be Your Dog, Louie Louie, Night Clubbing, Jonathan Richmond’s Pablo Picasso and many other favourites, as they’ve never been heard before – and five previously unreleased songs*!

The DVD features a solo acoustic show from Barcelona, a solo electric gig from Paris, plus a bonus piece. The CD has 10 more acoustic tracks, incl. ‘Nightclubbing’ and the previously unheard songs.

Skydog Records first Iggy release was in 1976 with the riotous “last ever Stooges show”, ‘Metallic KO’. Iggy continues to tour the world with the now reformed Stooges.
